Brant Point is one of the most sought-after areas on Nantucket Island to spend a summer vacation. Much of this gorgeous corner of town is on the water or a very short walk to it. Brant Point is situated on Nantucket Harbor, allowing constant views of beautiful boats passing by. The quiet streets of Brant Point are perfect for a leisurely bike ride or walk with the kids before or after a day at the beach. Brant Point Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the country, sits at the entrance to the harbor and provides a lovely spot for picnicking, fishing, or lounging in the sun.
Just to the west are the calm waters of Jetties Beach, along with Jetties Restaurant and Galley Beach Restaurant. Other restaurants within the Brant Point neighborhood are the Brant Point Grill (within the White Elephant Hotel) and the uber swanky and chic Lola 41. The center of town is a short walk away, home to world class shopping, museums, entertainment, nightlife, and many other fabulous restaurants. On a rainy day, stop by the Whaling Museum to catch a glimpse of the island’s rich maritime history, or pop into the recently rebuilt Dreamland Theatre for a movie or concert.
Brant Point offers excellent views of both the annual Independence Day and Boston Pops fireworks displays. Enjoy them from the deck or yard of one of our stately Brant Point vacation homes, or set up a blanket on the beach and bring your favorite picnic treats. Brant Point is also the prime island location for watching the Nantucket Race Week regattas in August. Relax on the beach while watching the Hobie, International One Design, and Open Laser Regattas, the Opera House Cup, and of course the beloved Rainbow Fleet Parade.
White picket fences, lush green hedges, and vibrant flower gardens abound. Soft ocean breezes and unparalleled harbor views make Brant Point everything you need for an idyllic island summer vacation.
