Photographing Nantucket: Daffodils

Published by Robin Slick, April 14, 2020

Certainly worth the wait, these beauties have arrived! After a grey and cold winter, seeing these yellow, white and orange varieties pop up all over the island is breathtaking. Although a bit disappointed that there will not be a Daffodil Festival this year, I am grateful to enjoy the daffodils while walking or driving. They bring cheerfulness to our island, knowing that warmer and brighter skies are just around the corner.

Daffodils line almost the whole 6 1/2 miles of the Milestone Road, and living near Sconset, I drive past them in complete awe everyday. Here's a little a bit of what can be found on the Milestone/Polpis Road loop.
