April 24 - 26, 2020
Don’t miss late April’s Nantucket Daffodil Festival. Since the 1970s, this event has celebrated spring and acknowledged daffodils as part of Nantucket history. This three-day family-friendly celebration includes art shows, tours, an antique car parade, a tailgate picnic, garden exhibitions, contests, and more.
May 13 - 17, 2020
The famous Nantucket Wine & Food festival has become one of the nation’s top wine and food events. Enjoy a 5-day food and libation celebration with more than 50 individual events. Winemakers from around the world bring samples to share, and professional chefs prepare dishes from Nantucket and far beyond.
May 23 - 25, 2020
Kick off summer with the famous Figawi Regatta, a Memorial Day weekend tradition on Nantucket. The multi-day event includes music, dining, a regatta ball, and a silent auction and raffle for charity.
June 1 - 7, 2020
Nantucket Restaurant Week is a celebration of Nantucket famous culinary art. Every Spring and Fall participating Nantucket restaurants will be offering three-course fixed price dinners. It is the perfect opportunity to try something new or to dine at an old favorite.

Sam Sylvia Pro Am Golf Tournament is a two-day event beginning at Nantucket Boys & Girls Club. This event includes a party with live and silent auctions accompanied by cocktails and appetizers. The golf tournament is held at Sankaty Head Golf Club, followed by luncheon.
June 18 - 21, 2020
Celebrate the authors and readers of Nantucket with this book-lover’s festival. The multi-day event includes talks, panel discussions, book fairs, and parties for people who love Nantucket books or want to learn more about them. Most events are free and within easy walking distance of local ferries.
June 23 - 29, 2020
Support independent filmmaking in Nantucket by attending this movie-lovers’ festival. For more than 20 years, the NFF has promoted awareness of independent films and their impact on Nantucket. Learn more about screenwriting, filmmaking as an art form, and some of the genre’s best storytellers.

Independence Day starts with traditional Main Street activities at 10 a.m., building to the famous water fight between fire departments. Children’s potato sack races, three-legged races, wheelbarrow races, and a tug of war commence at 5 p.m., and don’t miss the Balloon Wizard. Music starts at 6 p.m.

There’s nothing like seeing the annual fireworks on Nantucket. Join the crowd at Jetties Beach and see the fireworks burst from a beachside barge. This popular event comes with special ferry times and traffic patterns, so check the website before you head out to the show.

Since 1991, the Nantucket Art & Artisan Show brings together over 60 nationally and locally recognized artisans. The show features a surprising selection of pottery, jewelry, textiles, carvings, handcrafted furniture, folk art, and many one-of-a-kind masterworks created by today’s most celebrated artisans and crafts people.

This beautiful island summer event will give you an opportunity to celebrate Nantucket’s architecture and neighborhoods. Tour through historic houses and attend welcoming tented reception with food and live music by the Chuck Colley Band.

A highlight of late summer in Nantucket, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra performs live at Jetties Beach. Tickets go on sale in July and children under 5 years of age can attend for free. Bring a blanket and beach chairs. This is a charitable event and 100% of proceeds benefit the Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
August 8 -16, 2020
Nine days of Nantucket regattas, parties, and award ceremonies are kicked off on opening day, August 8. The entire island community comes together for this legendary celebration, and the boat races that welcomes sailors at every level.
Stop by the Nantucket Island Fair for food, music, arts, animals, contests, and all kinds of family-friendly entertainment - including the ever-popular dog show. Cost is $15/car or $5 for walkers and bikers.
Nantucket’s seafaring heritage is the focus of the Maritime Festival, where the coastal community comes together for boat races, harpoon throwing, line tossing, sea shanties, harbor cruises, and other seaside celebrations for people of all ages.

The Festival of Trees is one of the most beautiful Nantucket holiday tradition that begins during Nantucket’s Stroll weekend and lasts until New Year's Eve. Whaling Museum turns into a magic of winter spirit. The Festival of Trees brings local merchants, nonprofit organizations, artists and children together showing their creativity decorating trees.

Nantucket residents, visitors and charities have been collecting red tickets by receiving one ticket for every $25 spent with over 80 participating local businesses. The evening before Christmas bring participants together on Main Street to try their luck and see who will win one of cash prizes. There are five $1000 prizes and one $5000 prize that will be awarded to 6 lucky ticket holders.
